Life is fast, busy, sometimes crazy, but for a lot of people it comes to a grinding halt in our late 40s and early-to-mid 50s when we suddenly have big questions. Questions like
"who am I?" "what do I want?" and "what's the point?!"
These all sound quite serious because they are - they're a pause for breath in our busy lives to query what we are doing and what we should do next. They're a call for growth - and a search for meaning - and at that moment I firmly believe that if you don't succumb to an embarrassing new car or motorbike, terrible haircuts, clothing for teenagers and a need to pretend you're still young, a.k.a the midlife crisis, then we search for reassurance that everything is going to be ok.
This is the #midlifefunk.
At this time of our life, lots of different situations collide. Our parents age, our children leave home (don't worry they'll be back) divorce rates skyrocket, half of us go through menopause, and we reassess our life choices; partners, friends, pensions, EVERYTHING. I like to think the #midlifefunk is a taking stock of where we are, and deciding what to do next. This is why I've become a coach, because I believe I can help you find the answers.
I'm so convinced the #midlifefunk is a thing I've written the book about it; it's being released in Summer 2026 when I've got my shit together. I am publishing little blogs on here to keep you entertained in the meantime.
If you are one of those people wondering, for the first time in a long time, what life is all about , then I may be the coach for you. If you're unclear how I can help you, then click on my coaching section and find out whether coaching is for you. I'm helping people to feel empowered, find the answers to their questions and change their lives and I love that I can now be helpful in life.
